Replacement feeding tubes for long-term enteral nutrition or drug administration are inserted directly into the stomach through an already existing and healed stoma. These devices are used in patients who are physically unable to absorb sufficient nutrients through normal chewing and swallowing, allowing food, fluids and medications to be administered through the established stoma.
