Hip prostheses are designed for use in total or partial hip arthroplasty to replace the damaged hip joint and provide increased patient mobility and reduced pain in primary or revision surgery. These devices are indicated for severely painful or disabled joints resulting from arthrosis, traumatic arthritis, rheumatoid polyarthritis, congenital hip dysplasia, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, acute traumatic fracture of the femoral head or neck, and failure of previous hip surgery.
