FIXA Ti-POR Cup - Acetabular shell

Intended purpose

The FIXA Ti-POR Cup is designed to be used in total hip arthroplasty (THA) and to be inserted into the pelvic acetabulum without bone cement. The cup is the outer portion of acetabular prosthesis (acetabular shell). Internally it can accept a ceramic or PE or metal insert that serves as articulating surface.

Functional description

The Fixa Ti-Por cup is inserted into the pelvic acetabulum using the press-fit principle: the acetabulum is reamed less than the nominal diameter of the cup. The cup is available in different sizes and can accept different types of inserts: ceramic inserts, cross-linked PE/PE inserts, metal inserts.
