Device Category Dossier for Acetabular shell. Australian ARTG records, sponsors, device class — compiled by arcimedes.

Acetabular shells are cup-shaped implants that connect a liner to the patient's acetabulum as part of total hip joint replacement where bone stock is sufficient to support the implant. These devices are used to treat painful hip conditions including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, avascular necrosis, and traumatic injury, as well as to address failed previous hip surgery in patients where joint replacement is the preferred treatment approach.
