Intended purpose

The seleXys hip system shell PC is an uncemented acetabular shell that forms part of the seleXys hip system that is designed for treating diseased hip joints for primary and revision surgery.

Functional description

The seleXys PC uncemented shell is an acetabular shell. The flattened pole area of the cup ensures load transmission near the rim of the cup. The 2mm oversizing of the cup equator enables optimum primary fixation of the implant in the acetabulum. The pure titanium pellets are sintered onto the titanium shell, creating a porous surface for osteointegration.
