Intended purpose
The ATLAS IIIP acetabular cup is a sterile prosthetic component designed for first line use, or revision surgery to restore joint function and withstand the usual stresses associated with the hip joint. The prostheses from FH Orthopaedics are indicated for use in o Primary, dysplasic or protruding coxarthrosis o Rheumatoid coxitis o Coxarthritis with necrosis of the femoral head o Revision surgery in a septic or aseptic environment o Congenital dislocation o Traumatic injuries o Femoral neck fracture o Osteonecrosis of the femoral head.
Functional description
The FH ATLAS IIIP acetabular cup is made from Titanium alloy with a constant 2.5mm thickness. It is fitted with 4 spikes which fit into the bone to avoid any rotation of the cup and also screw holes for screw fixation if necessary. It includes a slot providing the cup with elasticity, sand-blasted inside and a cylindrical equatorial zone, and a hydroxyapatite coating for secondary fixation. It can be combined with a wide range of TRIANON or conventional inserts. For cementless use.
