Intended purpose

Acetabular cups combining a "PressFit cup" and a "PE Liner" are intended for the treatment of the following conditions: osteoarthritis of the hip, fractures of the femoral neck, osteonecrosis, surgical revision (chronic dislocation, loosening, etc.) if the bone reconstruction allows, Paprosky type I, IIA and IIC bone defects.

Functional description

The BI-MENTUM Pressfit Cup is a dual mobility acetabular cup manufactured from stainless steel with a plasma-sprayed titanium and hydroxyapatite coating for cementless fixation. The inner surface is mirror polished. The outer surface has reliefs, shallow concentric grooves increase the surface in contact with the bone. The anchorage in the acetabulum is obtained by press fit. It is to be used in combination with an acetabular femoral head and a PE liner.
