Intended purpose

Acetabular cups combining a "Plus Cup" and a "PE Liner" are intended for the treatment of the following conditions: osteoarthritis of the hip, osteonecrosis, surgical revision (including recurrent dislocation and loosening) if the bone reconstruction allows, Paprosky type I, IIA and IIC bone defects.

Functional description

The BI-MENTUM Plus Cup is a dual mobility acetabular cup manufactured from stainless steel with a plasma-sprayed titanium and hydroxyapatite coating for cementless fixation. The inner surface is mirror polished. The outer surface has reliefs, shallow concentric grooves increase the surface in contact with the bone. It has a mounting bracket and two anchoring studs. It is to be used in combination with an acetabular femoral head and a PE liner.
