Intended purpose
APRIL Ceramic is single-use titanium alloy Ti6Al4V shell, coated with porous titanium and hydroxyapatite ceramic,designed to be implanted in the acetabulum without cement. They are sterile implants, intended for use in the primary total hip replacement in conjunction with the BIOLOX Delta insert.
Functional description
The April Acetabular Shell is made of titanium alloy with a hydroxyapatite coating to enhance boney integration. The cup is designed for a ceramic liner for articulation onto a ceramic head on a suitable femoral component.
