Intended purpose

For percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of the coronary arteries. NC Xperience balloon catheter is suitable for: - Balloon dilatation of the stenotic portion of a coronary artery or of stenosis of bypass grafts replacing coronary arteries, in order to improve myocardial perfusion, especially in hard lesions that require balloons with high burst pressure. - Post-dilatation, following implantation of a stent in the area where it has been placed for the purpose of helping to position it against the vessel and improve its angiographic result.

Functional description

Rapid-exchange non-compliant balloon dilatation catheter for coronary artery dilatation. Proximal Single lumen allows contrast liquid to pass between proximal luer lock connector & balloon. The distal coaxial dual lumen is to: - carry contrast liquid to inflate the balloon - accommodates 0.014 guide wire for passage of the catheter through the stenosis. 2 x Radiopaque markers on the balloon for xray visualisation. Usable catheter is 142 cm long and is compatible with 5F Guide catheter.
