Intended purpose

The Medtronic Model B31061 SenSight™ connector plug is a component of a neurostimulation system. The connector plug fits into an unused socket of a dual channel neurostimulator, or the distal end of an unused DBS extension.

Functional description

The SenSight Connector plug fits into an unused bore of a dual channel neurostimulator or the distal end of an unused DBS extension. The Connector Plug is an implanted product that is optionally used with dual channel INS devices when the clinician only uses one lead and extension. Inserting the connector plug into the unused INS bore (channel) keeps the bore in a condition where a second extension could later be added.
