Intended purpose

The Medtronic Model B31020 SenSight™ Lead Cap Kit is a component of a neurostimulation system. The lead Cap is a device intended to temporarily protect the DBS lead proximal contacts under the scalp before the DBS lead is connected to an extension.

Functional description

The Model B31020 SenSight™ Lead Cap kit contains a lead cap and torque wrench. The SenSight™ Lead Cap protects and isolates the SenSight™ Directional Lead contacts after the lead implant but prior to extension connection. The lead cap attaches to the SenSight™ Directional Lead proximal end, covering the contacts.
