Intended purpose

The Brio neurostimulation system is intended to deliver low-intensity electrical impulses to specific targets in the brain via leads and associated extensions that are compatible with the Brio system.

Functional description

The Brio IPG is a dual channel, 16 contact receiver designed to be connected to a four electrode lead or a lead extensions. The IPG is powered by a hermetically sealed rechargeable lithium ion battery within a titanium case and uses microelectronic circuitry to generate constant current electrical stimulation. It is implanted in a subcutaneous pocket and receives RF signals from an external programmer.
