Intended purpose

The CPS Aim Universal slittable inner catheter (subselector) is designed for subselection of the venous system of the heart, and to serve as a conduit during implantation for delivery of contrast medium and St Jude Medical devices (such as guidewires and implantable left heart leads). In addition, it can work with outer guide catheters as a system.

Functional description

The catheter is used to facilitate left heart lead delivery procedures. This inner catheter facilitates subselection of branch veins off the coronary sinus/great cardiac vein during implantation procedures. When used in conjunction with outer guide catheters, the catheter can function as a dual-catheter assembly. The package includes 1 inner catheter and 2 valve bypass tools to facilitate entry of devices through the haemostatis valve.
