Slittable inner catheters for cardiac access are designed to provide intracardiac access to the coronary sinus and venous system of the heart and to serve as conduits during implantation for delivery of contrast medium and cardiac devices such as guidewires and implantable left heart leads. These devices are used in cardiac electrophysiology procedures to facilitate the placement of implantable left heart leads and other cardiac devices within the heart's venous system.
