Intended purpose

The Echo Bi-Metric Collarless Porous Stem is part of the Echo Hip System and is intended for use in total or hemi hip arthroplasty. Indications for use: 1. Noninflammatory degenerative joint disease including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis. 2. Rheumatoid arthritis 3. Correction of functional deformity 4. Treatment of non-union, femoral neck fracture, and trochanteric fractures of the proximal femur with head involvement, unmanageable using other techniques. 5. Revision of previously failed total hip arthroplasty.

Functional description

Femoral stem component of hip joint replacement prostheses. Press fit stem intended for uncemented use. Made from forged titanium alloy with porous plasma spray coating.
