Intended purpose
• Advanced degeneration of the hip joint as result of osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, posttraumatic arthritis, or rheumatoid arthritis • Femoral neck fracture or proximal fracture of the hip joint • Hip Dysplasia
Functional description
A sterile non-cemented titanium alloy femoral stem coated with Ti/HA. Following resection of the femoral neck, the medullary canal is opened with a box chisel and an MIA curved rasp. The femoral canal is rasped with sequential rasps attached to either a manual slap hammer or power driven device, until the templated size is reached. The stem is impacted and the head is seated on the trunnion with a plastic hammer.
