G7 E1 Freedom constrained acetabular liner - Constrained polyethylene acetabular liner

Intended purpose

The Biomet G7 E1 UHMWPE Constrained Liner is indicated for use as a component of a total hip prosthesis in primary and revision patients at high risk of dislocation due to a history of prior dislocation, bone loss, joint or soft tissue laxity, neuromuscular disease, or intra-operative instability, and for whom all other options to constrained acetabular components have been considered.

Functional description

Vitamin E infused UHMWPE constrained acetabular liner for use with G7 acetabular shell and Freedom constrained femoral head. The pre-assembled constraining ring maximises lever out force of the head and allows easy assembly in situ. The vitamin E acts to maximize polyethylene strength, wear resistance and oxidative resistance.
