Intended purpose

Mepilex Transfer Ag is designed for a wide range of low to high exuding and difficult to dress leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, malignant wounds, partial thickness burns and donor sites , where there is a risk of infection. Mepilex Transfer Ag may be used on infected wounds as part of a treatment regimen under supervision of a qualified health care professional. Functional description

Mepilex Transfer Ag, an antimicrobial soft silicone foam dressing absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment; containing silver sulphate that releases silver ions to create an effective bacterial barrier and inactivates a wide range of wound relevant pathogens (bacteria and fungi); may reduce odour by reducing the number of microorganisms; inactivates wound related pathogens up to 14 days; minimises risk for maceration by sealing the wound margins, ensuring exudate does not spread.
