Non-adherent antimicrobial wound dressings are designed to protect wounds from infection whilst minimising adherence to the wound bed and providing an antiseptic effect against bacterial organisms. They are used for superficial skin-loss injuries, minor burns, ulcerative wounds, and traumatic wounds, with potential application also to pressure ulcers and graft sites.
