Intended purpose

EmboGold Microspheres are designed to occlude arteries for therapeutic or preoperative purposes.

Functional description

EmboGold Microspheres are biocompatible, hydrophilic, nonresorbable, microspheres produced from an acrylic polymer and impregnated with porcine gelatin. The microspheres are mixed with a non-ionic contrast agent are delivered in a controlled manner under visualization and mechanically occlude the feeding vessel(s) to permanently interrupt artery blood flow to the targeted area.
