Device Category Dossier for Embolization particle, non-bioabsorbable. Australian ARTG records, sponsors, device class — compiled by arcimedes.

Embolic microspheres are non-bioabsorbable implantable beads designed to occlude arteries for therapeutic purposes. These devices are used to embolize blood vessels supplying hypervascular tumours in the liver via interventional arterial administration, and some variants are capable of loading and eluting chemotherapeutic agents such as doxorubicin or irinotecan for localised drug delivery.
