Sleeve for Biolox Delta Ceramic Revision Femoral Head - Femoral head/stem prosthesis adaptor

Intended purpose

The TA6V ELI sleeve is paired with the BIOLOX Delta ceramic revision femoral heads and are designed for hip revisions when preserving the stem and the neck. Indications for Total Hip Prosthesis: - Hip joint conditions due to degenerative or congenital, inflammatory, or post-traumatic causes - Sequelae from previous interventions, Total Hip Replacement, osteotomy, arthrodesis, bone reconstruction following tumour excision.

Functional description

The titanium sleeve interposed between the ceramic head and the femoral stem taper enables the use of ceramic heads in the case of revision and in particular allows, in case of repeated intervention, replacement of the acetabular cup while maintaining the stem in place. Furthermore, the revision femoral head mounted on the sleeve will enable surgeons to obtain a joint centre identical to the one obtained with the first-line head.
