Intended purpose

A sterile, single-use device which is inserted into the intramedullary canal of the humerus to promote healing by immobilizing and holding the ends of a fractured bone in position. The device may also be used to support the bone in the presence of a pathological condition, assist fixation of more proximal or distal conditions and may be a locked or unlocked model.
