Intended purpose

To be connected in-line with a patient's artificial airway to capture the patient's exhaled heat and moisture and use them to warm and humidify the inspired gases. Some models may be designed for connection to tracheostomy tubes and may include integrated self sealing suction port and connector for supplementary oxygen.
