Intended purpose

The Quartet Leads are designed for use in combination with a compatible pulse generator to provide long-term stimulation and sensing of the left ventricle via the great cardiac vein or one of its tributaries.

Functional description

Quadripolar left heart leads have TiN coated platinum/irridium electrode tip and ring electrodes, designed for use with IPGs with ventricular resynchronization therapy for long-term cardiac pacing and sensing. The leads' construction includes an insulation lead body and a hole through the lead's tip electrode that allows the use of a guidewire. The s-curve and double-bend shapes provide stabilization when the lead is placed through the coronary sinus into the veins overlying the ventricle.
