Endocardial pacing leads are steroid-eluting passive or active fixation leads positioned in the right atrium or ventricle that transmit electrical signals between the heart and an implanted pacemaker or defibrillator device. They are used for treatment of bradyarrhythmias, enabling electrical pacing when the heart's intrinsic rate is inadequate.
