Device Dossier for Vega M58 Endocardial Pacing Lead - Lead, pacemaker, implantable, endocardial (Lead, pacemaker, implantable, endocardial, Class III,…
- GMDN category: Lead, pacemaker, implantable, endocardial
Intended purpose
The VEGA lead is a right atrial or ventricular endocardial steroid-eluting active fixation pacing lead intended for the treatment of brady arrhythmias. The VEGA lead, when used in combination with a compatible pacemaker, defibrillator or cardiac resynchronization system, transmits the electrical signal from the atrial or ventricular myocardium to the device and delivers electrical impulses to the atrium or ventricle for pacing.
Functional description
The VEGA lead is a bipolar, endocardial, steroid-eluting, silicone-insulated lead with Silglide® surface treatment to improve the lead's gliding properties. It is an active fixation lead with an extendable/retractable fixation helix for permanent pacing and sensing of either the atrium or ventricle. The lead is designed to be used with implantable cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators. The device is 1.5T and 3T MR conditional.
