Intended purpose

Intraocular lens intended for implantation in the capsular bag to replace the human crystalline lens.

Functional description

One ZEISS UV light-absorbing Heparin Surface Hydrophobic Acrylic Posterior Chamber Intra-ocular Lens. This lens is intended to correct aphakia. It is made from an optically clear hydrophobic acrylic material which incorporates an UV-absorbing component and has a Heparin coating. Supplied sterile, non- pyrogenic and preloaded in a single use injector.
