Intended purpose

The TECNIS PureSee™ Toric II IOL is intended to correct aphakia following removal of the natural crystalline lens.

Functional description

TECNIS PureSee™ Toric II IOL with TECNIS Simplicity™ Delivery System, Model DET, is designed to provide a sterile, controlled and touch-free method of delivering the IOL into the eye. The IOL is preloaded and preassembled in the delivery system. This reduces the number of steps required to prepare the IOL for insertion into the eye, when compared to anon-preloaded device.
