Intended purpose

The device is intended to correct aphakia following removal of the natural crystalline lens.

Functional description

The device, Model DXW, is an UV and violet light-filtering posterior chamber IOL, intended to provide a continuous range of high-quality vision without compromise in distance vision even in low-contrast conditions and to compensate for corneal astigmatism. It is designed to be positioned in the lens capsule to replace the optical function of the natural crystalline lens. The delivery system is designed to provide a sterile, controlled and touch-free method of delivering the IOL into the eye.
