Intended purpose

Intraocular lens is intended for implantation in the capsular bag to replace the human crystalline lens.

Functional description

One sterile, foldable, heparin-coated, hydrophobic, acrylic, monofocal toric, posterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL) pre-loaded in an injector. This ZEISS toric IOL is intended to correct aphakia, and for the correction of regular corneal astigmatism. It is made of an optically yellow hydrophobic acrylic material which incorporates UV and blue light absorbing components.
