Intended purpose

The Zimmer Biomet 12/14 CoCr Femoral Heads are intended for use in total and hemi hip arthroplasty in primary and revision patients. Refer to the acetabular system and femoral stem package inserts for the full description of indications for the construct.

Functional description

The Zimmer Biomet 12/14 CoCr Femoral Heads are modular femoral heads made from CoCrMo that incorporate a 12/14 taper bore intended to mate with legacy Biomet and legacy Zimmer femoral stems with 12/14 tapers. They are offered in a variety of head diameters and neck configurations and are designed for use with an UHMWPE acetabular cup or liner.
