Intended purpose

Device intended for total or partial hip arthroplasty,to reduce joint pain and to properly restore a healthy joint function and bearing capacity allowing patient to return to normal daily living activities. General indications: - Advanced stage of joint degeneration resulting from arthritic, rheumatic, dysplastic or post-traumatic pathologies - Fractures or avascular necrosis - Negative outcomes of previous interventions such as joint reconstruction, osteotomy, arthrodesis, total or partial arthroplasty

Functional description

Modular articular femoral head manufactured from CoCrMo alloy. The device has a spherical shape with a flattened base, and a 12/14 morse-taper. Metal articular heads can be used with each Permedica’s femoral stem providing 12/14 morse-taper.
