Intended purpose
Used during orthopaedic surgery to assist in the insertion of implants, such as prosthesis and fixation devices. The device can e.g. be used to ascertain proper spatial orientation, provide relative position fixtures for measuring devices, retain a component in position until the procedure is implemented, help achieve proper joint alignment, hold the position of an instrument, or guide the placement of implants such as screws and nails
