Device Dossier for Axioma TT Baseplate (Ti6Al4V) - Prosthesis, internal, joint, shoulder, glenoid component (Prosthesis, internal, joint, shoulder,…
- GMDN category: Prosthesis, internal, joint, shoulder, glenoid component
Intended purpose
The SMR AXIOMA TT (L3) Reverse System is indicated for revision total shoulder replacement in grossly rotator cuff deficient joint with severe arthropathy (disabled shoulder). The patient’s joint must be anatomically and structurally suited to receive the selected implants and functional deltoid muscle is necessary to use the device. The modular SMR System allows the assembly of components in various humeral and glenoid constructs.
Functional description
The SMR Axioma TT Baseplate(Ti6AI4V) attaches to the uncemented AXIOMA TT Glenoid Peg(Ti6Al4V) and together they are implanted into the glenoid capsule. Natural bone glenoid if augmented by a bone graft must be remodelled allowing the AXIOMA TT Metal Back to seat congruently against the bone surface. For the Reverse Configuration, the glenosphere is attached to the Baseplate
