Intended purpose
REAMER ORTHOPAEDIC GMDN 35297 Intramedullary reamers are surgical instruments used to prepare the medullary canal (the hollow center of a long bone) for the insertion of an intramedullary nail, a type of internal fixation device used to stabilize fractures. Reaming enlarges the canal, allowing for a larger nail to be used, which can improve stability and reduce nonunion rates.
