Intended purpose
The Compression Nut is a component of the ZMR Hip System is indicated for cementless revision hip arthroplasty. Arthroplasty should be performed only when more conservative methods of treatment have failed to provide symptomatic relief or when there is progressive disability.
Functional description
The compression nut is used with a 3-deg Morse-type taper in the midstem junction to assure locking of the proximal body to the distal stem component. Application of the compression nut enhances the security of the connection by engaging the threads on the distal stem. The compression nut is machined to a smooth surface from Tivanium Alloy and Ti-Nidium hardened.
