Device Dossier for Modular Revision Uncemented Stem Distal - Revision uncoated hip femur prosthesis (Revision uncoated hip femur prosthesis, Class III,…
- GMDN category: Revision uncoated hip femur prosthesis
Intended purpose
The Modular Revision distal stem forms part of the modular revision hip system that is designed to treat: - Advanced articular destruction combined with congenital or acquired deformity; - Proximal femoral bone deficiency requiring hip arthroplasty: Fracture (primary fracture in the sub-trochanteric region, periprosthetic fracture) – Failure of medical devices, e. g. primary total hip prosthesis, osteosynthesis – Correction of rotational malalignment, trochanteric osteotomy, dysplasia.
Functional description
The modular revision distal stem is manufactured from Ti6Al4V and is designed to be used with the modular revision neck. The neck and stem are connected by a morse taper additionally secured with a safety screw. The outer surfaces are sandblasted, leading to a macroroughened finishing.
