MUTARS Screw for locking mechanism M-O-M - Rotating hinged total knee prosthesis

Intended purpose

A locking screw component of the MUTARS system for connection of Locking Mechanism M-O-M to the relevant tibial component.Primary indication for the use of the MUTARS systems is after bone resection because of a tumour. Further indications for the use of the MUTARS systems are massive bone loss such as in Morbus Gorham or for the revision arthroplasty and for the prosthetic treatment in case of fractures, pseudarthrosis and arthrosis.

Functional description

Composed of TiAl6V4 with TiN coating. The Screw For Locking Mechanism M-O-M secures and connects the Locking Mechanism M-O-M with the Modular Proximal Tibia or MUTARS GenuX MK Tibia respectively. It has a diameter of 8mm and an overall length of 31mm. The pitch is 1mm. The thread is only on the head and has a length of 5mm. The length of the bolt is 26mm. The bolt has a precise fit of diameter 6 g6. The wrench size is 3.5 mm. While the thread is sandblasted the bolt (distal part) is polished.
