Rotating hinge knee prosthesis components are implanted with bone cement to replace destroyed joint surfaces and provide structural support in cases of significant bone deformity. These devices are used when cruciate and collateral ligaments cannot stabilise the knee joint due to ligament inadequacy or weak musculature, or when revision of a failed prosthesis is required due to gross instability with or without bone loss or inadequate soft tissue.
