Intended purpose
A tibial component of the Modular Resection System, intended for use in patients requiring extensive reconstruction of the knee joint, necessitated by extensive bone loss due to trauma, failed previous prosthesis and/or tumor resection.
Functional description
The tibial baseplate of a Rotating Hinge Knee System. The tibial insert is placed on top of the tibial stemmed tray. The tibial rotating component is inserted into the tibial insert and this assembly is fixed into the tibia. The tibial components are connected to the femoral component by a set of bushings and an axle with a bumper locking this assembly. Manufactured from VITALLIUM Alloy. This device is for cementless use only.
