Intended purpose
LPS Proximal Femoral Trochanteric Body is a component of The Limb Preservation System (LPS) which is intended for replacement of the mid-shaft portion of the femur, proximal, distal and/or total femur, and proximal tibia, especially in cases that require extensive resection and replacement.
Functional description
The LPS Proximal Trochanteric Femoral Body is made from titanium and is porous coated to allow tissue ingrowth. It mates with segmental components, stem extensions and sleeves and accepts a femoral head. Suture holes allow for suture fixation of soft tissue.
