Intended purpose

The device is intended to be used in a sterile condition by healthcare professionals and lay persons on humans for protection against bacterial penetration, external contaminants, and mechanical irritation of dry or slightly exuding, primary healing wounds, and for almost healed epithelising wounds. It is also intended to be used by healthcare professionals for securing wound dressings, catheters and cannulas; and in negative pressure wound therapy as a sealing element on intact skin.
