Synthetic polymer semi-permeable film dressings are adhesive films that cover and protect catheter sites and wounds, maintain a moist environment for wound healing, secure devices to the skin, and cover burns. These dressings are used clinically for protection of minor wounds such as scrapes, burns, blisters and post-surgical incisions, as well as to cover and protect catheter insertion sites.
