Intended purpose

Device used to aid in sealing a trocar sleeve assembly to inhibit the leakage of insufflation media, e.g., carbon dioxide (CO2) Gas, whilst providing an alternating channel guide allowing the insertion and exchange of other endoscopic instruments of different diameter through the sleeve during laparoscopic procedures. It is usually located at the end of the proximal head of the trocar sleeve. This is a single-use device.
