Haemostatic agents are materials applied to bleeding sites to achieve temporary control of bleeding through direct contact with wounds, either as adjuncts to manual pressure or as standalone interventions for external and internal injuries. These devices are used across diverse clinical contexts including traumatic wounds, surgical sites, gastrointestinal bleeding accessed via endoscopy, and vascular access puncture sites.
