Intraocular lens-insertion cartridge

Device Category Dossier for Intraocular lens-insertion cartridge. Australian ARTG records, sponsors, device class — compiled by arcimedes.

Intraocular lens-insertion cartridges are sterile devices designed to contain an intraocular lens that may have been pre-folded, typically made of synthetic material and shaped as a funnel-shaped tube with a narrowed opening at the distal end, to facilitate insertion of the folded lens into the anterior or posterior chamber of the eye through a small incision during ophthalmic surgery. These cartridges are used to fold and inject intraocular lenses into the capsular bag or sulcus during cataract surgery.
