Inverse shoulder prostheses are implanted components that connect replacement parts of the shoulder joint to the patient's anatomy as part of a shoulder arthroplasty procedure. These devices are used in skeletally mature patients with degenerative glenohumeral joint disease, irreparable or deficient rotator cuff pathology, failed prior shoulder replacements with rotator cuff dysfunction, and certain proximal humerus tumours.
