Thrombectomy wire-nets are devices indicated for mechanical clot retrieval from intracranial arteries as acute ischaemic stroke treatment. These devices are used in patients who are ineligible for intravenous tissue plasminogen activator therapy, patients who fail such therapy, and patients who require supplemental treatment alongside initiated intravenous tissue plasminogen activator therapy.
